I finished up my scrapbook room when I was one of the final five Making Memories Idol contestants a few months ago. They wanted photos of our scrapbook rooms and mine was not pretty! My husband calls it the "Cave", because I leave it in such a mess. I usually start working on something, always on the floor (habit), and then I will get called away and just leave it there until I can come back and finish. I have a lock on my door though, so the kids can't come in and step on anything. Seeing these photos gives me motivation to keep it clean and organized all the time.

New lens, new photos!

I just got a new 85mm 1.2L lens and I love it! It was so much fun taking pictures of the kids, although it was cold and they didn't want to spend much time outside! I practiced metering their faces and changing the focal points. There's so much to remember to check and do, I feel like I'm constantly learning! I'm hoping to get some more practice in tomorrow, I love photography!

Isn't he cute as a button? Love this new one armed bandit hat and sweater set. Gotta get more pictures of him in it. I've been reading up and working a lot on my photography. I trying to get sharper photos by using back button focusing. I'll post a link later when I get a chance. I also love this board. I feel like my knowledge of photography has grown in leaps and bounds since I've been reading the posts over there. Gotta go make dinner for the family, more later.

Working on some new color and bw conversions...

I've been working on some new color and black and white actions. Here's what I've come up with so far, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! I've been wanting a really chocolatey black and white, so I just finished this action and ran it on these pictures so far.

It's been a nice day, I had to stay home from church with Dallen, he has pink eye, I really hope the other kids don't catch it. Just what I need 6 kids with pink eye. Other than that I played with the kids most of the day, we left the T.V. off and it was so nice to just talk. Brig had some one on one talks with the kids as well. I love how good he is with the kids, I couldn't imagine them having a better father than the one they've got and I tell him so constantly. We will have our 10th anniversary this week! I can't believe it's been this long, goes fast! We're actually getting a date that night, such a rare thing. It's hard to find someone willing to babysit 6 kids, so we usually stay in a lot. I'm looking forward to a night out. More later...

Love this one, taken in my backyard this last fall before all the snow hit! It's freezing today, so this photo warms me up a bit! I can't believe how much he's grown in a few short months! I haven't played much with my camera, but I just got the cutest sweater and hat set from La Folie and I can't wait to take some pictures of my baby boy in it, so more soon! Also, just designed this new logo for posting photos on the web, not sure if I like it or not yet.

Merry Christmas!!

We had a wonderful Christmas this year, the kids were especially excited and fun to watch as you can imagine! My two oldest both got Heeley's for Christmas and have had a ball rolling around our hardwood floor! That was the best present Santa has ever gotten them! We didn't get a whole lot of sleep. I still feel tired from it all and fell asleep last night when New years rolled around. Too hard to stay awake! Hope everyone has a wonderful new year, I'm looking forward to it and already have my resolutions written out and ready to work on! Take care...
